WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING
The Sanctuary is located in a lovely spot between Westborough and Hopkinton centers, in the village known as Woodville. In and of itself, this portion of Route 135 is like a step back in time, with simple houses lining the street, and this lovely little Baptist Church which is also home for the Sanctuary. Within walking distance of Lake Whitehall, the setting is nestled in pine trees, and has plenty of easy walking trails, not to mention paddle-boating opportunities. The Sanctuary is also fully handicapped-accessible.
As we arrived for our Day with God, we were met by one of the Sanctuary prayer ministers, who greeted us warmly, and helped us to get oriented to the space. She then shared some reflections which God had given her about our day with Him, prayed for us, and then left us for our day alone with God. We found plenty of friendly nooks and crannies in which we could spend time with Him, either alone or together. Though it was just the two of us for the day, we would have been comfortable had there been others having a day alone with God along with us. The Sanctuary is fully equipped with kitchen facilities, so that we could store and/or warm up or cook the lunch we had brought. As our day drew to a close, our prayer minister returned to inquire how God had met us in the day, and then prayed for us as we departed.
We cannot recommend highly enough this beautiful space dedicated to God for many years past, and now dedicated for the spiritual formation of followers of Jesus in our region and beyond. We also encourage local congregations to purchase a Personal Retreat Day for the pastor or leader, so as to encourage spending quality time in the Presence of God. Pastors Northborough, MA
What a great time I had spending time in the Lord’s presence. Seeking Him, and interacting with Him over my life, my ministry, and my relationships (especially my relationship with Him). Thank you Sanctuary at Woodville. Pastor Worcester
