Join us for Soaking Prayer every Wednesday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. ET at The Sanctuary, 249 Wood Street, Hopkinton, MA 01748. Contacts: Rob Knox ([email protected]) and Bill Coolbaugh ([email protected]).
Some people resolve to get on the treadmill. Do you want to get off the treadmill? You know, the treadmill, the hamster wheel, the merry go round, or whatever else you call the busyness of life.
Hectic life is not a modern phenomenon. Hectic life is an inherent part of ... life. For Christians, Jesus is divine, and He came to restore our relationship to God. Yet, despite His divinity, He still had to actively seek out quiet time and solitude with His Father. If that's the case, how much more do *we* need to seek out these experiences?
Do you have a solid relationship with God? If you don't and you're not actively trying to establish one, it rejects Jesus and His purpose for living, dying, and resurrection in your life. We invite you to join us on Wednesday evenings to seek out and pursue a healthy, loving, nurturing, and spirit-filled relationship with God.
Come learn about solitude and reflect on it with material from Brother Lawrence and others. Then practice it by sitting in God's presence, praying, being prayed for or over.
As J. Smith of Framingham writes, "I chose to sit quietly. Seldom do I get an opportunity to just sit with God. I can recommend this time to anyone who wishes to deepen their relationship with God. Or just have a break from life.
Does sitting quietly scare you? We can help.
