Kingdom Prayer is about the people of God coming together to pray to God on behalf of others. We are chosen by God to be priests and kings in his Kingdom (1 Peter 2:9). We petition God for what we need as priests, standing in the gap between man and God. We pull upon the promises of God, using the authority we have as co-heirs of Christ. We would love for you to join us for prayer together on Zoom every Tuesday from 8:30 to 9:30 am. ET.
As we have entered into a new season with issues in our nation and in our world, especially the Russia-Ukraine war, we continue to seek the Lord together in prayer, knowing he hears and answers. Our desire is to come before The Presence of The Triune God to worship, listen, and intercede as The Spirit of God leads. This will certainly include praying for our localities, the nation, and the world, as well as for the Church and any situations and people as the Lord directs. It will also include times of silence as we listen to God, as well as Scripture being read as God prompts.
Throughout this time of pandemic and much unrest, it is clear that our world continues to be in a liminal space, standing at the threshold of entering a new season, a new era. We still have an overwhelming sense that God is indeed doing a new thing and this is our time of waiting, praying, growing stronger in our faith, deepening our bonds of love, and preparation (think of the disciples praying for ten days before the coming of the Holy Spirit in Acts 1). This prayer time will be intentionally non-political, and we want to pray primarily for our own humbling and repentance, the unity of hearts, of the church and the heart of our nation.
We are more desperate for God than we even know, and the times and season underscore our need to come together in communal prayer to wait, listen, cry out, grow in our bonds of love, and be prepared.
